“Without community, there is no liberation…but community must not mean a shedding of our differences, nor the pathetic pretense that these differences do not exist.” — Audre Lorde

One Love Sangha was created to be a refuge where people of color and comrades can come together in support and community of each other and find nourishment and inspiration in the teachings of Buddhism. We come together monthly in a community effort to alleviate suffering by exploring the dharma and the intersections of Buddhism and social justice and openly discussing our experiences living and navigating oppressive and biased social structures.

Our sangha is lovingly facilitated by Lissa and guest facilitators who offer guided meditations, talks, embodied practices, readings, group discussions, and more. We hope to provide space for participants to engage in deep listening and to feel free to speak freely from their hearts about their experiences in utilizing Buddhist and mindfulness practices in their life. Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike are welcome.

A suggested donation of $10 is greatly appreciated to help support rent for the space. Please see our meet up page or facebook group for details on where our meetings will be held in or near Montclair, New Jersey. Our sangha is freely offered in support of community and each other and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.

A sangha is a community of friends practicing the dharma together in order to bring about and to maintain awareness. The essence of a sangha is awareness, understanding, acceptance, harmony and love… The sangha is a place to practice for the transformation and the healing of self and society. — Thich Nhat Hanh
